Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus has been given all authority. Now what? Now He sends His loyal servants and friends into the world to make disciples, immersing them, and teaching them to keep all His commands. This is our Master's mission, and He has shared it with us. Is this even possible? Yes, because He's present with us as we do this monumental work.

Matthew 28:9-10,16-20. The resurrected Master wasn't done with His mission, and His loyal disciples were being called to join that mission in a new and world-changing way.

Matthew 26:31-35. Jesus foretells another heartbreaking part of His suffering: His friends and faithful servants will fall away and even disown Him.

MATTHEW 11: 16-19 Meditating on Jesus' words about the generation who refused to hear God no matter how He spoke - through the supposedly "demon-possessed" John or the supposedly "gluttonous and drunk" Jesus. As we consider the tragedy of their stubbornness, we consider the warning it holds for us about our own.

Exploring Matthew 11:1-6, in which Jesus responds to John the Baptizer's disciple's question about Messiah. "After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee. When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him, 'Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?' Jesus replied, 'Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.'” (Matthew 11:1-6, New International Version)
